Web Portal Prescott-Area-Foreclosures.com Integrates Twitter into Web 2.0 Strategy

Today Patrick Schutte, Chief Blogging Officer and Certified Foreclosure Specialist at RE/MAX Mountain Properties in Prescott, Arizona, announced the integration of Twitter into the Web 2.0 strategy at Prescott-Area-Foreclosures.com. The addition of the Twitter capablilty that will enhance the data flow and customer service capabilities for the site that serves the needs of buyers and sellers of REO/bank-owned and short sales properties in the Quad-Cities area of Northern Arizona including Prescott, Prescott Valley, Chino Valley, and Dewey-Humboldt.

Haven’t heard of Twitter?  Twitter is a simple messaging service. It’s a fun, practical, and useful tool, and well worth trying if you want to reach out to potential and existing customers.  Twitter is similar to blogging as it lets you write messages that other people can read. But unlike blogging, SMS is one of the major delivery systems, and Twitter limits your messages to 140 characters.  Readers receive Twitter updates (called “tweets”) via email, on their phones via SMS, via IM, RSS or on the Web. The brevity, combined with the variety of delivery systems, make Twitter a powerful tool for people on the go.

Twitter integration will serve five main functions:

1. Share analysis about market conditions, local foreclosure news, etc.
2. Share other people’s ideas that are relevant to the local real estate market.
3. Build the brand equity of the site.  The more ways people are able to interact with the site, the better.
4. Engage customers by soliciting feedback.
5. Provide customer service by responding to inquiries.

When asked why Prescott and Prescott Valley foreclosure buyers and sellers would benefit from the intergration of Twitter into the site, Patrick Schutte said, “Buyers will benefit by getting tweets on properties that have been recently listed and are “hot.”  Sellers will be able to get market snapshot data without having to open their email or read a report.  And both will be able to use Twitter to ask questions or receive service.”

Califronia-based buyer and real estate investor, Bob Coan, was one of the driving factors behind the integration of Twitter into the site,  “The data on Patrick’s Prescott Area Foreclosure blog is extensive and complete, but often I’m in an airport and by adding Twitter, I’ll be able to stay on top of the Prescott Valley foreclosure markets while I’m on the fly.”
